Bottom fishing goes on year round here in Maui waters and there’s no better experience than to catch and eat your own fish, it just seems to taste better.
Hana pa’a is the Hawaiian name for “fish on” and we want you to come experience this incredible feeling with a Makai Adventures fishing charter. We take you bottom fishing at depths of 75’- 220’ for Giant Trevally (Papio), Grey Snapper (Uku) and other edible delicious species.
We depart from Lahaina, which is blocked from the prevailing trade winds so more than likely your journey will be calm and glassy. Our crew will be attentive to your needs whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned angler they are sure to teach you a thing or two about our beautiful waters and its inhabitants.
Our boat, Kainalu, is spacious, yet intimate with a maximum of only 10 guests. After your catch we do what many other Maui fishing charters don’t, we prepare/clean your catch and you take it home to your condo or hotel to eat all for yourselves.
Although, if you want to spread the aloha and leave a small steak for the captain and crew, I’m sure they won’t say no!
